This week’s OHW is ‘Part of the Union’ by the Strawbs. A national #4 hits in 1973 this song has gone on to become a favourite the the Union Movement. The piano player on the recording of this track was the one and only Rick Wakeman, one of the most famous ‘Prog’ musicians of all-time. The Strawbs, lead by Dave Cousins have had a long and very successful career and made many wonderful albums, my favourite being ‘Deadlines’ (1977)
