This Week’s One-Hit Wonder (OHW) is ‘Daisy a Day’ (#2 1973) by Jud Strunk. Born Justin Roderick Strunk Jr. (1936 – 1981) Jud Strunk was an American singer-songwriter and comedian. He was a regular member of the ‘Laugh-In’ cast during 1972 and 1973. A pilot, who flew a vintage 1941 Fairchild M62-A aircraft, he died when he suffered a heart-attack while at the controls, he was only 45 years old. Daisy a Day is a sweet song and stands in contrast to the humorous songs that he also recorded.
